When Angelina Jolie gets into shape she has to swap alcohol, cigarettes and skipping breakfast for a special diet of steamed meat, vegetables, soya milk and a big decrease in Sugar. Her training regime includes kickboxing, canoeing, street fighting and yoga.

My Verdict: I would definately recommend angelina jolie's diet and training regime. It represents a great balance of nutrition and covers the most effective component of fitness and well-being.

Jessica Alba has been reported to have been on a diet since the age of 12(that’s one heck of a long diet). Jessica said "Everybody in my family is heavily overweight. I wanted to be healthier, so I started cooking for myself when I was 12 years old.

When I eat breakfast, I'll have an egg-white omelette and fruit, or cottage cheese and a peach. For lunch, I'll have a salad. Dinner is usually vegetables and chicken or fish. During the day I'll have some dried fruit, or I'll have a chocolate or strawberry frozen yogurt. I don't really eat desserts or bread"

Jessica Alba's Workout routine consists of 45 minutes to an hour of circuit training she usually does 10 mins on the Treadmill intensively, then do 50 lunges and Ab crunches, these exercises tone her butt, legs and stomach. Then she moves onto the Cross Trainer or Stepper machine for another 10 minutes, then she'll use free weights for her shoulders, biceps and triceps. She repeats this cycle four times non-stop.

My Verdict: Jessica Alba's diet and workout routine gets the thumbs up, what she is doing here is keeping her heart rate up to around 160 to 180 beats per minute which is very intense but is very effective for optimum fat loss. Jessica uses free weights which is the best option if you want to increase your muscle tone and decrease your body fat. Her diet is pretty good, but I would replace her snacks of dried fruit for Nuts, as dried fruit is high in Sugar and can increase weight gain if eaten in excess.

GISELE BUNDCHEN'S DIET

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen has revealed the secret to her amazing figure is cheeseburgers!

The Stunning Supermodel, who is famous for her stunning figure claims she has been munching on burgers since the age of 14.

She also claims to train very intensely which allows her to get away with eating what she wants.

My Verdict: This is ridiculous I refuse to believe her diet consists of just eating cheeseburgers, even if you have a fast metabolism sooner or later this type of unbalanced diet will start to show on your skin, hair and belly eventually resulting in a slowed down metabolism and huge amounts of weight gain. This one is a definate No-No.

JENNIFER ANISTON ZONE DIET SECRETS

jennifer aniston reportedly turned to the Zone Diet when she started working on the set of 'Friends'. The Zone Diet consist of 40 percent carbohydrates, 30 percent protein, and 30 percent fat.

My Verdict: This is a well balanced diet and is sure to keep your metabolism running smoothly.

RENEE ZELLWEGER ZONE DIET SECRETS.

Renee zellweger has also used the Zone diet, after putting on 20 pounds for her role in Bridget jones diary 2. Madonna, Cindy Crawford and Winona Ryder are also reported to have tried this diet.

BEYONCE KNOWLES-MAPLE SYRUP DIET

Celebrity + weight loss + extreme measures = Instant fad.

Beyonce knowles lost 20 pounds by having a concoction made up maple syrup, lemon juice, water and cayenne pepper. Beyonce said "I lived on water, cayenne pepper and maple syrup for 14 days on the set of dream girls. It was tough; everyone else was eating normally and I was dying."

My Verdict: This diet will leave you: weak,you will experience muscle loss, lack of energy and terrible mood swings, Supermodel Naomi Cambell has also been reported to follow this diet which might explain why she always seems to get herself into trouble(don’t hit me Naomi please I was only kidding). Even after Beyonce 14 day diet she said " After that I ate waffles, fried chicken, cheeseburgers, french fries, everything I could find. that was the best time of my life. I've gained 12 pounds."

A diet like this cannot be sustained for long and will only result in bingeing and putting on loads of weight, this diet definately gets the thumbs down.

Katie holmes Diet secrets

When Katie holmes was asked what she does about working out and looking good she said “ I try. I grew up in an environment full of athletes and unfortunately I wasn’t one of them. My parents are healthy. We go running on Thanksgiving – I mean what family does that? It has to be before the big turkey dinner. My dad is really ambitious and makes us all go. Exercise is definitely important, but the long hours sometimes prevent me from being a good girl and getting my cardio workout.”

Katies’s favorite foods are jelly bellies, cookie dough, buttered popcorn, veggie burgers, onion rings and Pretzels dipped in salsa and her favorite drinks are vanilla latte and diet coke. Her favorite activities are shopping, dancing, running, watching movies, reading and listening to music.

My Verdict: Stay away from this kind of diet ladies! Although she is very active I would not recommend these kind of eating habits, this may work for Katie due to her having a fast metabolism and a active lifestyle.

JANET JACKSON AND THE YO-YO DIET.

Janet Jackson is a classic example of a yo-yo dieter. This is why you'll see photos of Janet hugely overweight, then usually before her album release she'll appear seemingly out of nowhere with a chiseled stomach and well toned physique.

In preparation for an album release she uses the help of a personal trainer who puts her through a regime of jogging, brisk walking, lunges and squats. Then she'll go months eating just salads and fruits and drinking evian water.

My Verdict: This kind of dieting is commonplace in hollywood. I would have to give this diet the thumbs down, the cycle of being a few stones overweight and then suddenly going on a crash diet really takes it toll on your body, stay away from yo-yo dieting it plays havoc with your metabolism, making it very difficult for your body to run efficiently, and burn fat, this form of dieting also results in visible stretch marks.
